PFW trend report

As they say, better late than never. Here's my recap of the major trends at PFW.

The strapless column shape is back. As seen at Alexander Wang for Balenciaga and Stella McCartney. It's a gorgeous, feminine shape but I'm not sure if I'm game enough to try it yet!

Sheer black voille, tulle and mesh were popping up everywhere! This is a trend I'm super keen to adopt. Such a sexy way to reveal a little flesh ;).

Whether it be cream, pale grey or white - light hues are going to be H-U-G-E next Winter! Buy an oversized cream coat PRONTO!

Top heavy, slim bottom silhouettes were a common occurence a la Celine, Balenciaga & Chloe. If you're trying this trend, go for a large oversized coat with slim jeans or bare legs.. BRRR! x Sharday

mfw trend report

There was many a trend to be spotted on the Milanese runways including: fur, cinched waist, peachy pink hues and this seasons super trend.. red!

Trust the Italians to bring out the most luxurious of fabrics: fur. Whether it be faux or real, fur was used as scarves, arm candy and for lapel & skirt trims. Delicious!

Peachy pink hues are refreshing for the typically drab Autumn/Winter collections. Try head to toe or play it safe with a pink shirt and beige trousers.

The lady like silhouette is back. Hello cinched waist bands! I love the first look from Gianfranco Ferre, with it's layering of a giant coat over a cinched waist.. nice nice nice.

Probably one of the biggest trends across all cities.. red! How stunning are the Chinese inspired brocade pant suits at Moschino? I'll be adding red to my wardrobe ASAP. x Sharday

lfw trend report

Sorry for being MIA folks. I've been soaking up the sun and spending time with family and friends in Melbourne. I still couldn't miss out on a chance to sum up the top trends from London Fashion Week below.

Capes as coats were everywhere and are perfect for inbetween seasons. Loving the arm slits on the capes at Antonio Berardi.

Although it seems like antithesis of winter dressing, the midriff is COOL. Pair it with a big, warm coat and thigh-high boots.

I see red, I see red, I see red! Whether it be red boots, red trousers or red jackets with red dresses. Red is just so right.

This was probably the hardest trend to define. It can be loosely defined as playing with different prints, furs, fabrics, the result being a perfect mix of texture.

nyfw trend report

NYFW is almost over! So I've decided to recap on my favourite Autumn/Winter trends that seem to be popping up everywhere.

Head to toe white looks were everywhere this past week. From lady like Proenza Schouler to sophisticated Derek Lam.. it's time to don the white on white look!

Your next boot purchase has got to be knee high. Wear it with a mini or with pants tucked in. This shoe trend was EVERYWHERE.. I repeat EVERYWHERE. Now it just needs to show up on my feet :).

Not really a new trend.. but it's a trend that keeps kicking on season after season. Extra points for keeping it monochromatic!

Every girls go to shade: BLACK. Black on black showed up on a lot of runways. A Wintour would not approve. Play with different textures like leather, fur, sheer or quilting to avoid looking like a black cloud.
