fresh start

Exciting things are happening in the world of Shardette. This is my first week as an Associate Buyer at Aritzia, which was so hard to keep secret from you all. I am uber lucky to be in such an amazing company and super thrilled to begin my career. I'll be working on the Babaton brand which is aimed at sophisticated, young female professionals i.e. people like me! Prepare to see a lot more Aritzia in my wardrobe ;) x Sharday

rainy days

Presenting my first blog shoot from Vancouver.. which should ultimately be renamed Raincouver. For the past week it has been raining (more so spitting) non-stop. But the show must go on.. and so it did. My poor boyfriend got saturated while taking these pics - luckily I was hiding under a little alcove! I bought these amazing Zara sandals a few weeks ago.. and it's love! They're going to be the perfect Summer shoe. Great for work, street festivals, breakfast with friends and great for strolling along St.Kilda beach, etc etc. Bring on those kinds of Summer days. x Sharday

Spring is here so it's time to bring out the florals (not like Winter stopped that though :p). This Zara blazer was such a bargain. It was on sale in Shanghai for $20AUD!! I clenched it and dashed straight to the change rooms. No one was going to take my blazer. Bargain of the century! xx Sharday

Important meetings and job interviews are the hardest to dress for! I never know whether I look too unprofessional, too 'fashion' or too OTT. This outfit came in handy when I had an important meeting the other day (prior to leaving for China). A beautiful blazer + white jeans + casual tee + heels = done!

Last weekend, my man and I headed down to Black Rock which is about 20kms out of Melbourne. Although we couldnt find said rock, we had fun getting lost in the catherdral-like sand stone walls. I'm so glad I moved closer to the beach, I'm sure a lot of time will be spent there over the next few month! Hope you have a great weekend xx Sharday

I wore this little ensemble to the Mimco Blogger Breakfast the other morning. As it started at 8am (& I was travelling on public transport) I needed something super warm yet super cool. Yay for uni holidays! The other day Gabby and I made a mid-week visit to Luna Park & St Kilda pier. The downside of uni holidays are that it's also school holidays (grr little kids) and holidays don't last forever :(
