Here is the last shots of when Gabby, Liz & I teamed up to create awesome-ness. At first I was unsure of this Alice McCall maxi. Don't get me wrong, it is such a stunning print - but I am one who NEVER wears maxi-length dresses. After Liz & Gabby convinced me to try it on I was sold 100%. A beautiful, etheral look is created when light passes through it and it looks PERFECT with Gabby's Ellery heels. Ahh.. I love the pay off when you go outside your 'style comfort zone' and it works for you. x Sharday

We had a crazy weekend.. Mexican style!

I'm so excited to tell you about something I was working on a few weeks back!

Mossman invited myself and 8 other Melbourne bloggers to pick a piece from the Neon Nemesis collection and style it up.

The photos were taken at Fitzroy Gardens by the lovely and talented Sureka from The Girl Can Shoot. The gardens are worth checking out, especially as it's Autumn and all the leaves have fallen.

What a day! Gabby and I had such a good time at FMF yesterday - thanks to Sportsgirl.

One of my favourite acts was Skrillex. And yes I didn't know much about him before.. but now I lurrvvee him. The crowd went absolutely beserk when he started his set.. it was unbelievable.

Other top acts were Fat Boy Slim, Swedish House Mafia & Hercules and Love Affair.

DIY inspo..

Just a little preview of a DIY I'm working on: A sheer maxi split skirt!

As seen at Sass & Bide and worn by my friend Gabby.

The skirt will have a high side slit and ruched back. Just you wait and see!

DIY perspex cuffs

A few weeks back, Gabby and I made perspex cuffs (thanks to Love Aesthetics). They only cost about $1 each and are easy and quick to make!

You will need:

Perspex peices 8cm x 15cm

Oven and oven tray

Tea towel and oven mitts

Sand paper or nail file

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees celscius

2. Prepare the perspex by filing down the edges

3. Place the perspex in the middle of a baking tray & place in the oven

4. Remove from the oven after 5mins (make sure you don't burn it as bubbles will appear)

5. Shape the perspex to fit your wrist.. be careful they can be very hot!

6. Let it cool, if it doesn't fit just pop it back in the oven and try again

Wow, what a night! We headed along to celebrate the launch of Australia's first Topshop last night and had an absolute blast. I caught up with some old friends and new friends, played around with all the goodies Topshop has to offer and purchased some cute studded loafers.. now thats what I call productive!

the rubi project launch..

Last night we headed along to Rubi's Flinders Lane store launch. It was a wonderland of candy, white cosmo's and super affordable heels and accessories. 

So many cute pieces that I want including the oversized envelope wallet, Miu Miu inspired glitter heels & some old school loafers. I also got to meet the lovely Natalie from Florence & Alexander.. check out her blog.

Props to Rubi Shoes for an amazing change in their design aesthetic.. I'm loving it! Outfit post soon!!

Last weekend I headed along to the final event of the Spring Racing Carnival: Stakes Day. It was a beautiful day with temps reaching 30 degrees. Can't wait for it to happen all over again next year!
