I forgot to tell you all about this interview I did a few weeks back with 2threads.. enjoy! xx Shardette

The best feature of fashion blogs is that they push you to try new and interesting ways to wear your clothes. This applies for Melbourne girl Sharday Orbach, and her fashion blog Shardette. As you click through each post you feel inspired to try out her own style, whilst still inventing your own. You get a sense of playfulness mixed with subtle sophistication through Sharday’s posts, as each look experiments with different trends, but is still true to her style. Memorable outfits include that Camilla and Marc revival dress worn at LMFF, and the coolest Bettina Liano Hard Soft dress 2threads has ever seen. We were lucky enough to ask Sharday a few questions about what makes a great fashion blog, and what items were on her ultimate wishlist…
How would you describe your current style?
Well..comfort is always king for me at any time of the year. This means I pretty much live in shirts, brocade pants & loafers. In other words a more feminine version of Michael Corleone from The Godfather.
Why and when did you decide to start a blog?
My blog just turned 4! I started it as a journal of any editorials I was lusting over at the time, and in the past two years has evolved into more of a personal style blog.
Can you name three things that are currently on your wishlist.
1) Chanel 2.55 quilted bag (has been on my wishlist for 7 years now) 2) Another YSL arty ring in a red/pinkish hue 3) A new 50mm fixed lens for my Canon

What is your best fashion purchase and why?
You can’t go wrong with a well made handbag. I got my LIFEwithBIRD bag for Christmas 2 years ago and it is still my go-to everyday carry all. I guess it was the gift that kept giving (pun intended)!
Can you name some of the benefits of having a fashion blog?
Number one benefit is meeting amazing people in the fashion industry that I otherwise wouldn’t have met e.g. bloggers, stylists, designers etc. Getting to see collections first and attending fashion parties is also pretty amazing!
What are some of your favourite Australian fashion blogs?
GPVS (my homegirl), [Frockwriter], Inside In Inside Out and 4th & Bleeker.
What is your favourite ‘go to’ outfit when you’re stuck with nothing to wear.
White shirt, black skinny cropped pants, heeled ankle boots, Karen Walker shades & black leather carry-all bag. DONE!
What do you think makes a successful blog, and why?
Creating original content helps and also updating at least 3 times a week is ideal
