Alexander Wang Prisma Lunch Bag vs 3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Pashli Two Tone

Help me people! I can't decide between these two STUNNING bags. I wanted to treat myself to a little *congratulations on the new job* bag, but I'm having a hard time deciding. I must say I'm leaning slightly towards the Wang Prisma Lunchbag, just because it can be worn so many ways and it's practical for work.

travelling in style

As I’ve been clocking some serious air miles lately I thought it would high time (*pun pun pun*) that I put together a travel guide. Here’s a simple checklist to get you from A to B in the most comfortable and stylish of ways. 

1. Book your flights. There are some super discount flights at Cheap Flights. I wish I could afford to fly Business class only but until then I’d rather go budget on the airline tickets and spend it on clothes instead!
2. Dress for comfort. A simple jersey tee, woolen sweater, boyfriend jeans paired with Nike Free’s are my go-to flying outfit. Don’t forget an oversized scarf - perfect as it doubles as an eye mask.
3. Mini suitcase. I only started using a carry-on suitcase last year and boy does it make your life easier. Pack your noise cancelling head phones, laptop, reading & makeup case full of face spray, lip balm, moisturiser & more.
4. Get to the airport nice and early. There’s nothing worse than stressing out and running around the airport. Gives you more time for duty free shopping ;).
5. Be the last to get on the plane. I’m not saying you should hold up the plane but the less time on board, the better!
6. Keep your fluids up. Buy the biggest water bottle available after clearing security/customs. Then just ask the flight attendant to fill it up.
7. Time change. Adjust your watch to your arrival destination time. This helps me minimise and sometimes even avoid jetlag.
8. Comfort is key. Change into some super comfy track pants and get ready to kick back.
9. Voila you’re at your location – how quick was that!? x Sharday

nyfw trend report

NYFW is almost over! So I've decided to recap on my favourite Autumn/Winter trends that seem to be popping up everywhere.

Head to toe white looks were everywhere this past week. From lady like Proenza Schouler to sophisticated Derek Lam.. it's time to don the white on white look!

Your next boot purchase has got to be knee high. Wear it with a mini or with pants tucked in. This shoe trend was EVERYWHERE.. I repeat EVERYWHERE. Now it just needs to show up on my feet :).

Not really a new trend.. but it's a trend that keeps kicking on season after season. Extra points for keeping it monochromatic!

Every girls go to shade: BLACK. Black on black showed up on a lot of runways. A Wintour would not approve. Play with different textures like leather, fur, sheer or quilting to avoid looking like a black cloud.

The botanical trend doesn't seem to be disappearing anytime soon and although most think it's confined to Summer days - this is not true! Darker botanical pants can be worn in Winter with warm knits and cute ankle boots. Alternatively (for you Southern hemispherians) botanical playsuits can be worn with flatform sneakers & a shoulder bag and VOILA.. festival ready! x Sharday

what to wear: christmas edition

Christmas is just around the corner! When this time of year comes I'm always faced with that annoying question: what do I wear to *insert event*. Here's my little Christmas guide as to dressing for two very important dates:

The Christmas work party can be the hardest to dress for. You want to come across as respectable but not end looking like an absolute prude. I always try to stick to the 'ONE' rule. You can only reveal one part of your body in excess e.g. shorter dress = high neck/back, bit of cleavage = longer hem-lines, sexy back = high neck & long hem-lines. It's a no-brainer and stops you looking like a tramp in front of your boss... awkward.

Christmas day is the glorious time when you come together with your family, eat like crazy, spoil each other rotten & have a merry ole' time. This outfit is pretty simple yet uber chic & easy to wear. White shirts are my go-to item. They can transform the most casual outfit into a Christmas miracle!
