Boy oh boy do I miss my favourite Aussie designers - and Camilla & Marc is at the top of that list. How stunning is their new SS13 campaign featuring Rose Smith? It also features jewellery by Estelle Deve - my personal fave. My shopping wish list just got updated. Shop the collection here. x Sharday
And to cap off the 'Crossing the line' series - an outfit post! Seriously loving these Senso flatform brogues. A little bit of sparkle goes a long way ;) x Sharday

Wow.. just wow! Last Monday I went on the a sunset cruise with Hugo Boss and renowned sailor, Alex Thomson. To sum it up it was pretty much one of the most amazing experiences I've encountered through my blog. How often does the average gal get to helm a 60ft professional yacht? Not everyday! Man I'm lucky.. enjoy the pics :) x Sharday.

All aboard the Boss
Of course.. with a cider in hand
This was the amazing part where I helmed the yacht for around 15mins. The yacht is so responsive, a slight twist of the wheel turns the boat instantly.

Sadly the trip had to come to an end.
Bye bye Boss.
A few months ago I began chatting to the uber talented illustrator Natasha Nicole, about participating in the 'Handbag Project'. Basically Natasha sketches bloggers handbags (or dreambags) and their contents. The results are stunning. I love that it's a sneak peek into the personal lives of bloggers and their daily knick knacks.
Sharday's style is so fresh and clean. It's the kind of style that looks a little relaxed and simple but clearly has been put together by someone who ultimately knows how to arrange beautiful pieces. This is one of the reasons that she's my latest addition to The Handbag Project.
With a role as Associate Buyer in Vancouver, Canada, she loves films, travel and Alexander Wang and clearly loves her sunglasses since they feature in so many of her photos! I wish the weather was that great in the UK that sunglasses could become one of my staples, but alas, it's probably more likely to be an umbrella.
Anyway, just looking at her photographs makes me feel summery, and along with her outfits, the other items that she carries around in her Alexander Wang bag are Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Admirable, wallet, iphone complete with cute kitten case, and her Kiki diary. To see the illustration in full and others in the series visit The Handbag Project page, or to get to know Sharday a little better, visit her website, Shardette.
Following on from XTL part one, I thought I’d talk about trolling on Instagram. In my opinion Instagram is where trolling is most common.
Take a look through the images of Lara Bingle or Rihanna. As common as people are admiring their style and personality, they are leaving negative comments.
A prime example is any one of Lara Bingle’s more cheeky and risqué photo shoot ‘insta’s’. The amount of comments with girls declaring her ‘fugly’ or guys wanting to have their way with her is pretty appalling. The question is would these commenter’s ever say that to Bingle’s face if they walked past her in the street. Not in a blue moon.
So what gives people the right to think they can say as they please and abuse all they like? And how are ‘celebs’ supposed to react? I’ve seen a few celebrities publicly reply to trolling and to sum it up – it ends badly - the bullied turns into the bully. I’ve also noticed a few celebs just delete and I assume report inappropriate behaviour. Whatever works, works I guess.
A little question for you – how do you think women like Lara Bingle & Rihanna should react to haters? Just simply accept it as ‘hater’s gonna’ hate’ or do something more proactive? X Sharday
P.s. If you like this new style of opinion-based blog posts – let me know. I’m just trying something new but don't worry my outfit posts will still continue. ;)
Something that has really caught my attention lately is ‘trolling’. Essentially trolling is being unnecessarily mean to someone via the Internet and ultimately crossing the line.
A few months after I started my blog I was a victim of trolling. This was a result of sticking up for another blogger. Basically this ‘anonymous’ reader decided to comment on every single one of my posts, ridiculing my style and myself.
I guess depending on the type of person you are, there are a few ways to react. Some would just delete and ignore. Some would go hide under their bed and cry. Others could take it as a personal criticism of themselves.
I thought the whole situation and ‘anonymous’ in general, was a bit ridiculous. Their whole operation was just a joke. They had most definitely XTL (crossed the line).
So what did I do? I responded to ‘anonymous’, addressing how absurd they were, deleted unnecessary comments and lastly made it that no one ‘anonymous’ could ever comment on my blog. The thing that stops these types of readers is transparency. Why should someone be able to write as they please without accountability?
This kind of behaviour on fashion blogs is such a turn off and more awareness should be brought to the issue. That brings me to the question – have you ever been ‘trolled’ or has anyone ever crossed the line with you? Stayed tuned for XTL - part two. X Sharday
My love of ripped denim just got taken up a notch with the introduction of these black beauties. Ripped and frayed in all the right places - an essential for the upcoming Summer months. Now I just need some white denim shorts and a new pair of darker blue denim jeans.. rip 'em to shreds. x Sharday

Yesterday was the first day of Summer! Woohoo! I'm actually quite lucky as this is my second Summer this year. I'm looking forward to fresh juices, yummy grapefruits, denim cut-off shorts and an abundance of peonies. Good times.. these are the good times. x Sharday

Sometimes the most perfect blog shoot locations are found in the most uncanny places. This perfect white washed wall lives behind Granville st, the party street of Vancouver. Yes, a guy was smoking meth and yes we were yelled by the lane dwellers - but it was totally worth it! C'est la vie. x Sharday

I'm not usually one for excessive colour but this Rianna Phillips purse is EVERYTHING. How amazing is the print?! It's the most perfect size and can house pretty much all your trinkets, such as makeup (which mine is currently doing). It's me doing colour in the most 'Shardette' way I can ;) x Sharday.

Obsessed with all things baby blue, tropical, cocktails and nature. This is me.. lately.
From top left clockwise: the jeans my Mum says I wear too much but I still love, my office space at Aritzia, hiking 'The Chief' mountain near Whistler, tropical inspo, rolled up jeans & strappy sandals equals perfection and lastly cocktails with Leonie at the Billabong shopping event.
Seriously obsessed with mixing logo tees with bling bling jewelery. There's nothing better. Oh yeah & I bought those culotte shorts (or as I like to call them 'skorts') that everyone has. They're comfy, cute & tres blogger chic ;) x Sharday
I was super lucky to attend J.Crew's Pacific Centre opening in Vancouver this week. Leonie & Randa (aka blogger babes) took me under their wings, introducing me to the who's who of the Vancouver scene. How can you complain when you're sipping champagne, nibbling on cupcakes and drooling over J.Crew's gorgeous jewels? x Sharday
